Half-Day Morning Directress

I have worked at NSMS for 18 years.  Both of my daughters attended NSMS in the 

full day and half day programs.  I took my training in 1998 through MECA-Seton.  

I have worked as a Directress in full day, half-day and the toddler program.

The best thing about working with children is that no two days are alike.  The 

children love to learn and it’s wonderful to see the change from fall to spring 

and from year 1 to year 3 in the Montessori classroom.   It is also wonderful to 

get to know the families of each child and some become life-long friends.  The 

location of NSMS is wonderful and the staff is very caring.  My children 

received a superb foundation for the rest of their education and both have very 

successful careers.

My family:

I am married to my husband, Dennis, we have 2 daughters, Jessica and Rebecca, 

and 2 dogs, Ernie and Bailey.

Hobbies:

I love all flowers and gardening is one of my hobbies. I love to go shopping, go 

to the movies and read.  I also love to work in my yard.

Favorite color:

My favorite colors are green and brown.

Best vacation:

The best vacation was a cruise in the Mediterranean.

What profession did you want when you were in pre-school?

I always wanted to be a teacher and I played school with my younger brother and 

sister growing up!
